CONGRATS! GRADS!

This weekend was one of the most exciting weekends of my life!!! I am now class of 2015, courtesy of UCLA! I owe this degree to my family, friends, and life partner. I took part in two graduations this week, the first was my department graduation and the second was Raza Grad! They were both beautiful but Raza Grad is one in its own lane!

the best advice I never took:

I'm going to make a list of things I would advise others to do and do them myself!
We all believe we give awesome advice and it's true we do but it really gets us down when no one takes it. When I do give someone advice (my best by the way) I think to myself: "I'm giving you gold here! Man! Gold!" I'm just going to take my best advice and do it myself! Let's see where this takes me. Some of it will be real dense advice and other things will be sort of like bucket list advice. I'll make this list and cross it out when it's done the:n leave a comment something small. And of course if I think of something else I'll add it in. Well let's hop to it. The best advice I've ever gotten, from me:
  1. start a blog
    • Here I am I did it made a blog! well it was in no way easy I did a lot for this and am still working on content I have a lot to talk about but I feel like all of this great content just stays in my head. What I need to do is just go for it! something is better than nothing! Below are a couple of links that I used to get me started
      • I honestly forgot where I found my webpage layout, which is a shame because this layout is so nice I wish I could give credit to the person who made it
      • I watched a youtube video by blogaholic to make the social media icons on my right hand column, there are adorable and the instructions are easy to follow, I had my social media links up in no time
    • UPDATE: I feel like I've added various things to my blog as time goes on but I have pinned everything to my Pinterest board "The Guide to Blogging" here is the link so you can check out various things that you may add to your blog:

ALL THE OLD POSTS!!

There you have it! anything later than this post is all of my old work. I was reading through some of my work and noticed a couple of mistakes in grammar and some things that I feel are essential to those posts, so I will be going back and editing things I bit. All and all I'm so proud of myself right now! My worlds are really colliding I really did it. Yes I will continue to do this, I'm calling this huge project Worlds Collide

diy: coin purse

ok so here it goes a coin purse. i make many things and always end up with left over yarn for this project i tied all my loose ends together to make a long length of string. i then used a size 6 crochet hook and chained 12 stitches. I then went back and forth doing a single crochet stitch until i had the desired length. i then slipped stitched all around. i sewed on a button for my mom but you dont have to it looks great with out it as well
happy crafting
this project took me about 1 hour and didnt cost a thing since it was left over yarn

DIY: Scrapbooking

scrap booking anyone?
well i'm not that into it well until i decided to give one to my bf for our anniversary
the book that i have is a simple brown page book which goes super well with the look i'm going for retro
we listened to the beatles a lot so the title was easy its a red square and i grabbed white paper and made a fold for multiple similar hearts glued them then with a red marker made the stitching marks

yes its a lot of hard work but totally worth it. and if your buying all these things it can get a bit expensive and time consuming but if you have some stuff around your house like i do it wont cost a dime.
happy crafting. will update on my ideas later.

my white coat (i cant find the right words for this--still working on it)

i know she's proud
she washes my coat with care
more than what i ever will

i know she's proud
she questions me in the morning
when i'm heading for the door

i know she's proud
thats why she admires my future

i know she's proud of me

thats why she listens to the stories of my white coat

Torn Pages from the old blogs

I look at the pages where these women write their stories
Where they place their lives on display
I can’t help to feel envy creeping through my veins
Anger as well as resentment obtaining what I strive for
doing nothing with it
Longing...to be in their place
To rip out their pages and replace them with mine

Assuming the responsibilities of a different story
